ABOUT US

BAARX was started in 2018 by a group of animal-loving citizens who wanted to make a difference for the animals in need in our community. In 2022, thanks to the generosity of Steve & Teena Dobrescu, BAARX became an official 501(c)3 non-profit no-kill animal rescue organization.

Our mission and goals are to provide help to animals in need through our various assistance programs while working towards our ultimate goal of building an actual animal shelter. Having an actual shelter will allow us to continue our work on a much larger scale.

While we currently work mostly with dogs and cats, large ranch animals and poultry have also come through our rescue. Our goal is to eventually be able to provide for a wide variety of animals in need, whether they are common household animals, large ranch animals, poultry & fowl, cage birds or other exotics.

BAARX operates solely on donations made to our organization by private citizens, other organizations, businesses and fundraisers. We are made up of strictly volunteers ~ we have NO paid staff so that every penny goes back into the animals through one of our various programs. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, all donations made to BAARX are tax deductible.
